Building a Fair Economy for All
Our economy should work for everyone—not just the wealthy and powerful. For decades, wages have stagnated while the costs of housing, healthcare, childcare, and education have soared. Meanwhile, corporations and billionaires have benefited from tax breaks and policies that leave working families struggling to make ends meet. It’s time to level the playing field and ensure every American has the opportunity to succeed.
We need to raise the federal minimum wage to a living wage. No one working full-time should live in poverty—it’s that simple. Millions of Americans are working harder than ever but still can’t afford basic necessities like rent or groceries. Raising wages will give workers dignity while boosting local economies across the country.
Families shouldn’t have to choose between paying for childcare and putting food on the table. I’ll fight to expand access to affordable childcare and paid family leave so parents can stay in the workforce without sacrificing their ability to care for their children. Affordable childcare strengthens families, businesses, and our economy.
Small businesses create two-thirds of new jobs in America, but they’re often overshadowed by massive corporations with unfair advantages. I’ll work to expand access to low-interest loans, cut unnecessary red tape, and ensure federal contracts prioritize small businesses—especially those owned by women, veterans, and minorities.
We also need bold investments in infrastructure, clean energy, and technology to create millions of good-paying jobs while preparing our economy for the future. Our roads, bridges, transit systems, and broadband networks are outdated after decades of neglect. I’ll push for projects that rebuild what’s broken while modernizing for tomorrow—like expanding high-speed internet access to rural communities or upgrading our electric grid.
At the same time, transitioning to renewable energy sources like wind and solar will create jobs and position America as a global leader in innovation. Clean energy isn’t just about combating climate change—it’s about creating opportunities in manufacturing, construction, engineering, and research that pay well and can’t be outsourced.
By raising wages, supporting families with affordable childcare and paid leave, empowering small businesses, rebuilding infrastructure, and investing in clean energy, we can create an economy where hard work is rewarded and opportunity is within reach for all—not just those at the top.
