Congressional Campaign Intern (Volunteer) – Tennessee’s 3rd District

Overview
Join Derek Hawn’s campaign for Congress in Tennessee’s 3rd District! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grassroots politics, develop valuable skills, and contribute to a movement focused on serving the people of Tennessee. As a volunteer intern, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the campaign while working closely with the candidate and team.

This is an unpaid, flexible internship designed to accommodate students and individuals passionate about politics and public service.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will assist with various aspects of the campaign, including but not limited to:

  • Voter Outreach: Engage directly with voters through phone banking, canvassing, and community events. Help share Derek Hawn’s vision with constituents.
  • Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for campaign activities such as canvassing, event staffing, and voter engagement.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing campaign events, including rallies, fundraisers, and town halls.
  • Social Media & Communications: Support the creation of engaging content for social media platforms, draft press releases, and help manage online engagement.
  • Research & Data Management: Conduct research on voter demographics, policy issues, and community concerns. Assist in maintaining voter databases and tracking campaign progress.
  • Administrative Support: Provide logistical support for daily campaign operations, including scheduling meetings and organizing materials.

This is a hybrid opportunity—some tasks may be completed remotely, while others will require attendance at campaign events across Tennessee's 3rd District.
